Raw Amber Flea & Tick Collars            Gemstone Cat Collars

I love animals, so it is only natural that I should want to make something for them as well as their human counterparts.

I make gemstone collars for cats with magnetic clasps for breakaway safety. I have some pre-made, check the length before buying to be sure they will fit your cat. I can also custom make one for your cat if you send me the measurement.  I make dog collars as well, but they are more for the gemstone properties, and for decorative purposes. They cannot be used to attach the leash, they would not withstand the pulling of the dog.

I am also making natural Amber and Magnetic Hematite Flea and Tick Control collars for dogs and cats. The cat collars are still made with magnetic clasps, the dog collars have a lobster claw of various designs.

Despite its appearance, Amber is organic, not a mineral. It is the fossilized tree resin and is quite ancient. For centuries Amber has been attribute with healing powers, and was said to store and tap into the power of the sun leading to success, abundance and happiness. It holds a negative charge, thus was said to draw power and energy into its bearer, and to draw misfortune away from the wearer.

Amber flea collars have been in use in Europe for a while. Amber, being tree resin, contains terpines, which are aromatic chemicals which repel fleas and ticks. When your pet wears the collar, the friction with their coat releases the terpines. The Amber used must be raw unprocessed Amber, because processing seals and blocks up the pores and prevents the release of the terpines. Ticks have a chemoreceptors called Haller's organs on their legs which allow them to 'smell' the terpines. The Amber, with its negative charge,  also creates a static electric charge when rubbing on the fur, said to help to repel the critters.

I have added Magnetic Hematite to my collars because a magnetic field is also said to repel ticks and fleas. There are commercial products on the market which use electromagnetic fields as a repellent/deterrent.

As an added element, and because it just looks nice, I also add Turquoise and Jasper to all of my collars. Turquoise absorbs negativity, is an excellent grounding stone, & is known as a master healer stone. Jasper has energy that grounds, protects, and has a calming effect.

The other amber flea/tick collars that I have found on the internet intersperse the amber with glass or plastic beads. My collars are totally made with gemstones, and my prices are more reasonable than any others that I have found.
